The 51品茶 College of Osteopathic Medicine will host the 2026 Military Promotion and Graduation Awards ceremony on May 14, 2026, at 9 a.m. in the Harold Alfond Forum Room 283 A/B on the Biddeford Campus.

The military pinning ceremony is a formal event within the armed forces where service members are officially promoted to a higher rank or position. This ceremony marks the transition from one level of responsibility and authority to another, recognizing the service member's achievements, dedication, and commitment to their duties and responsibilities. The focal point of the ceremony is the presentation and pinning of the insignia that represents the service member's new rank, a powerful symbol of status, responsibility, and trust placed in service members by their superiors and peers.

Fourth-year military students in the College of Osteopathic Medicine will receive their promotions during the ceremony, while other fourth-year students will receive graduation awards recognizing their academic achievements and contributions to the medical school community.
